The Company
Davcon is an award-winning, family-owned business led by registered Master Builder Julian Davis, who has more than 20 years’ experience across a wide range of building genres from high-rise in-situ concrete solutions to bespoke, residential joinery.
His 18 builders work across three teams led by experienced foremen. Strong networks with reliable and professional sub-contractors ensure a seamless, turnkey experience for clients building outstanding properties.
While their passion and expertise is in architectural building and renovation, Davcon delivers projects across the spectrum from small renovation projects and commercial builds right up to $10-million bespoke homes.
Behind the scenes, administrators Kelly Davis, Julie Pollock and Leanne Boyle ensure a professionally-managed building experience that is easy and enjoyable for both architect and client.
The Challenge
It was the build up of all these small jobs that caused Jules and the team to look for job management software. Jules explains, ‘We got sick of turning away all the small jobs, so decided to take them on. But they created loads of admin, especially around time capture.”
As most tradies find, jobs are great, but the admin sucks. “I thought, how the hell am I going to keep track of all the hours for the jobs? There’s got to be a better way.” So he went on the hunt and came through with NextMinute.
“I needed software that would help track the boys’ hours and integrate with Xero. With NextMinute it’s so much easier than me ringing the boys asking where they were last Tuesday and how many hours they were on site.”

Jules is pretty stoked with the results, “NextMinute helps me take care of the business. The time sheeting functionality is outstanding and being able to look at margin and hours is really great too.”
